ANNOUNCING THE OPENING OF SHUSH

ANNOUNCING THE OPENING OF

FRIDAY 30TH JULY is set to host the biggest drum & bass / dubstep party Newtown has ever seen.

Bursting back into action, having been much-loved as ‘Upstairs @ Newtown’ in a previous life, Sydney’s newest venue SHUSH throws open its doors to a hungry public with an opening party like no other.

CULTURED opens the venue’s first night with 11 of Sydney’s best DJs, 2 MCs, the DSS sound system and 6 hours straight of solid music. With the likes of Linken & Vertigo, Boot & Double Robin, Fire & Whitey and more, the 450-capacity room is set to go off in a big way.

For this first night Launch Party, entry is just $5 on the door.

Don’t miss CULTURED @ SHUSH – Friday 30th July, 9pm – 3am at 52 Enmore Road, Newtown.

A Red Letter Day is currently booking bands / DJs through their booking company, Burgess Bookings. Please contact Heather Parry at Burgess Bookings on +61 2 9519 3978 or via email at burgess_ventures@bigpond.com

UPSTAIRS @ NEWTOWN TO REOPEN

A RED LETTER DAY EVENT MANAGEMENT
AND
BURGESS BOOKINGS

are thrilled to announce the opening of a brand new music venue right in the heart of Sydney’s bustling Newtown!

52 Enmore Road is to be the site of the city’s most exciting new music stage, and will regularly play host to international acts from all genres, including a specific drum & bass / dubstep night to cater to the great demand that has arisen, as well as the best home-grown musicians!

Previously known as the iconic and highly-sought-after ‘Upstairs @ Newtown’ space, this room is set to build on its sterling heritage and showcase music from the forefront of a variety of different scenes.

Opening officially on July 30th, the yet-to-be-named venue is currently going through a major revamp and will throw its doors open to the hungry public in a matter of weeks.

Managing Director Denny Burgess said of the announcement; “I cannot imagine a more perfect area of the city to open such a cutting-edge venue.

For years, Newtown has been the heart and soul of Sydney’s musical and creative scenes, and yet has been crying out for a room that is big enough to host great acts but small enough still to have an intimate vibe.”

Having noted the lack of medium-size live music venues in the city hosting quality artists on a regular basis, A Red Letter Day has secured control of the 500-capacity space in Sydney’s most alternative suburb and plans to blow audiences away with the quality of acts playing.

A Red Letter Day is currently booking bands / DJs through their booking company, Burgess Bookings. Please contact Heather Parry at Burgess Bookings on +61 2 9519 3978 or via email at burgess_ventures@bigpond.com
